A Fond Throwback to Celebrating our Mothers within the Community!
On the 10th of May, our special Mother’s Day Mai Gong Bo Jio event gathered mothers from across the community, filling our void deck with laughter and shared stories. It was a privilege to honour the remarkable strength and kindness these women bring to our lives every day. To every mother who joined us, your love, resilience, and quiet sacrifices shape the heart of our community. This day was our small way of saying thank you for all you do, not just on Mother’s Day, but every day.
We extend heartfelt utmost thanks to Breakthrough Missions and Hai Di Lao Singapore for their generous breakfast spread, which laid the foundation for a morning brimming with joy. Breakthrough Missions further lifted spirits with a heartfelt performance, leaving guests smiling, tapping their feet, and clapping in delight, a true testament to music’s power to unite. And to Hai Di Lao, your thoughtful goody bags brought smiles to mothers and elderlies alike.
Special thanks as well to Durian Grandpa’s Pte. Ltd for contributing the fresh fruits that brightened the breakfast spread and brought smiles to many faces. Working side by side with groups like these allow us to offer support and build moments of joy and connection for mothers and seniors who give so much to others.
We were honoured to welcome Minister Chee Hong Tat who took time from his busy schedule to greet our mothers and present them with flowers. His thoughtful presence meant a great deal to everyone gathered. To our student and community volunteers, your dedication shone brightly. From welcoming guests to serving tables, you ensured every mother felt appreciated. The care you poured into planning, arranging spaces, and sharing warm conversations turned this event into something truly meaningful.
This celebration was a reminder of how simple acts of kindness, shared over good food and company, can weave deeper connections. Thank you again to all who helped create a day where mothers felt cherished and communities grew closer.
